Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Take Over Golden Globes

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will break Ricky Gervais three-year run when they co-host the 70th Golden Globes January 13th in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced. (Incidentally, Rolling Stone suggested this during the last Golden Globes ceremony.)

Fey and Poehler were Saturday Night Live castmates before each left to launch her own show: 30 Rock for Fey (now in its final season), and Parks and Recreation for Poehler.

Each has also appeared in movies, with Fey writing and acting in Mean Girls and starring opposite Steve Carell in Date Night, with a new movie, Admission, scheduled to hit theaters in 2013. Fey last year also published a memoir, Bossypants. Poehlers films have included Wet Hot American Summer, Mean Girls and Blades of Glory. Fey and Poehler also co-starred in the 2008 comedy Baby Mama.

Fey has been nominated for nine Golden Globes and won three; Poehler has been nominated for one.
