John Fogerty returned to the Late Show With David Letterman yesterday for a second straight night, this time with Dawes in tow. After playing new single "Mystic Highway" Tuesday night, Fogerty led the Dawes through "Someday Never Comes," which the California rockers performed with him on his forthcoming album of duets, Wrote a Song for Everyone. Dawes singer Taylor Goldsmith started the song off sounding eerily like Fogerty, before the real deal took over. The pair swapped lines on the verses, and harmonized on the chorus of the 1972 Creedence Clearwater Revival classic. Wrote a Song for Everyone, due out May 28th, also includes contributions from Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Bob Seger and more.
