Peter Travers: Tron: Legacy Triumphs Despite Storyline

The original Tron which came out in 1982 may not have aged very well, but Peter Travers credits the film for its groundbreaking concept and also has kind words for the sequel, Tron: Legacy. The new film finds star Jeff Bridges still trapped inside a server, where he meets not only the avatar of his younger self but his son (played by Garrett Hedlund). Despite some occasional confusion over whats happening in the films plot, Travers gives Tron: Legacy high marks for its amazing special effects and the occasional dose of humor.

Peter Travers Best (and Worst) DVDs of 2010

However, Travers Scumbucket does return this week not for Tron but for the Golden Globe nominations, and especially the nominations for The Tourist, about which Travers said last week, Everything about this movie sucks.

Tron: Legacy
