Rushmore, Rush-less: Wes Andersons Films Ranked From Worst to Best
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the unlikely jaunt is a victory lap of sorts for Anderson, in light of Budapests immense commercial success (earning $133 million worldwide since its March release the most for an Anderson film). The cruise will feature a special screening ofThe Grand Budapest Hotel, followed by a Q&A with the director and cast. Prices for the trek range from $1,298 to a whopping $18,948, but the hilarious memories will be worth it. (Can you imagine how fanciful Andersons swim trunks must be?)
The Grand Budapest Hotel,Andersons eighth feature-length film, earned strong reviews across the board, including high praise from Rolling Stones own Peter Travers: Its a filigreed toy box of a movie, so delicious-looking you may want to lick the screen, Travers wrote. It is also, in the Anderson manner, shot through with humor, heartbreak and a bruised romantics view of the past.
To whet your appetite for the cruise, check out our recent Wes World feature, which examines Andersons trademark visual and thematic styles.
