Watch Jurassic Worlds Trailer Bring on the Bloodthirsty Dinos

The first official teaserfor the long-awaitedJurassic World featured plenty of exposition but a depressing lack of dinosaurs. The folks behind the movies new global trailer, however, have gone to great lengths to rectify the situation by showcasing all kinds of CGI behemoths from a monstrous, hungry sea beast (the mosasaurus) to a winged dino that picks up a woman and soars away.

Picking up 22 years after the timeline in the originalJurassic Park, the new film focuses on a dinosaur park operated by the Masrani Global Corporation on the Central American islandIsla Nublar. In an attempt to spike attendance, the company leads researchers to create new creatures using genetic modification and the results are (as one might expect) disastrous, as the bloodthirsty Indominus Rex begins to kill for sport. Chris Pratt stars as a velociraptor trainer who stands up to corporate greed while trying not to become some beasts afternoon snack.

Jurassic Worldis directed by Colin Trevorrow (best known for the 2012 Sundance sleeper comedy Safety Not Guaranteed), who co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Rick Connolly. The film is produced bySteven Spielberg, director of the original blockbuster, and will hit theaters on June 12th 14 years after the franchises last title,Jurassic Park III.

Last year, in celebration ofJurassic Parks 21 anniversary, John Williams iconicscore wasreleased on 180-gram vinyl. Some copies were pressed on special Dilophosaurus-colored vinyl, with 1,000 editions issued on translucent amber vinyl.
