Its looking like a strong awards season forLincoln, which has been nominated in a record 13 categories for the Critics Choice Movie Awards two more than the previous record holder, Black Swan.
The presidential biopic is up for Best Picture, Best Director for Steven Spielberg, Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis, Best Supporting Actor for Tommy Lee Jones, Best Supporting Actress for Sally Field and Best Adapted Screenplay. The movie already won a handful of awards last week from the New York Film Critics Circle.

Other movies up for Best Picture include director Tom Hoppers take on the hit musicalLes Misrable(one of its 11 nominations),Silver Linings Playbook(one of 10 nominations),Argo,Beasts of the Southern Wild,Django Unchained,Life of Pi,The Master,Moonrise Kingdom, andZero Dark Thirty, which the New York Film Critics Circle voted Best Picture.
In addition to Spielberg, Zero Dark Thirtydirector Kathryn Bigelow is up for Best Director, along with Hopper, Ben Affleck (Argo), Ang Lee (Life of Pi) and David O. Russel (Silver Linings Playbook).
In acting categories,Hunger Gamesstar Jennifer Lawrence scooped up an four nominations, for Best Actress, Best Actress in a Comedy and Best Acting Ensemble all forSilver Linings Playbook, while her turn as Katniss Everdeen also landed her a nomination for Best Actress in an Action Movie. LawrencesSilver Liningsco-star Bradley Cooper also picked up multiple acting nods, andSkyfalls Judi Dench andBeastsnine-year-old star Quvenzhane Wallis each nabbed two.
The Critics Choice Movie Awards are voted on by Broadcast Film Critics Association. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony January 10th in Santa Monica, California, that will be broadcast live on the CW Network.
