Fifty Shades of Grey Dominates 2016 Razzies

Fifty Shades of Greyput on a dominating performance at the 36th annual Razzie Awards the annual pre-Oscars event that celebrates the worst films of the year as the cinematic adaptation won five Golden Raspberry Awards.

The films stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were named Worst Actress and Worst Actor as well as Worst Onscreen Duo, while the film also scooped up the Worst Screenplay trophy. Despite racking up the Razzies, Fifty Shades of Grey had to share its win in the nights least prestigious category Worst Film as the movie tied with the Fantastic Fourreboot for that honor.

A year after Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor at the Academy Awards for The Theory of Everything and a night before Redmayne is up for another Best Actor nod for The Danish Girl the British actor added a Razzie to his trophy case thanks to his win in the Worst Supporting Actor category forhis role in Jupiter Ascending. Kaley Cuoco earned Worst Supporting Actress for Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip.

Fantastic Four director Josh Trank was named Worst Director, with the maligned reboot also scoring Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel. Sylvester Stallone, a three-time Worst Actor Razzie winner (for Rhinestone, Rocky IV/Rambo: First Blood Part II and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot), was given the nights Redeemer Award for his Oscar-nominated reprisal of Rocky Balboa in Creed.

While previous Razzie Awards have seen nominated stars tongue-in-cheekily appear at the ceremony to accept their award, none of this years nominees showed up at Los Angeles Palace Theater this time around. However, this years ceremony featured a Donald Trump impersonator who reminded attendees of the moguls 1990 Worst Supporting Actor Razzie win for playing himself in Ghosts Cant Do It.
