Diddy to Premiere Cant Stop, Wont Stop: The Bad Boy Story Doc at Tribeca

Diddy will premiere the documentary Cant Stop, Wont Stop: The Bad Boy Story at Tribeca Film Festival in New York in April.

Directed by Daniel Kaufman, the film chronicles the time leading up to the Bad Boy Reunion concerts held at Barclays Center last May. The shows were part of the labels 20th anniversary celebration, which also marked what would have been the Notorious B.I.G.s 44th birthday and subsequently led to a wider tour. Mase, Lil Kim, Faith Evans and Total were among the Bad Boy artists to participate.

According to Tribecas festival guide, the film is a raw and exclusive look behind the scenes at the history and legacy of Bad Boy through a complex portrait of the labels mastermind, Sean Diddy Combs aka Puff Daddy, as he tries to reunite his Bad Boy Family in the course of a three-week rehearsal period.

Whitney Houston and Iranian MC Shahin Najafi are the subjects of two other music-related documentaries that will also be featured at Tribeca. The Nick Broomfield-helmed Whitney: Can I Be Me explores Houstons rise and fall and includes never-before-seen footage, and the Till Schauder-directed When God Sleepschronicles Najafis career and explores freedom of speech. The rapper was forced into hiding after criticism for his lyrics from religious clerics.

The 2017 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 19th through 30th.
