Flippin Weird! Napoleon Dynamite Cast Unveils Creepy Bronze Statue

Gosh! To celebrate the 10th anniversary ofNapoleon Dynamite(and promote the films new10 Sweet Years Blu-Ray), Fox Searchlight reunited the cast for a special screening of their absurdist sleeper comedy on Monday, June 9th. Jon Heder, who played the socially awkward title character, was in attendance along with a hideous bronze statue of the iconic nerd, decked out in moonboots and his classic Vote For Pedro T-shirt. Fox Searchlight shared pictures of the terrifying statue on theirFacebook, and the results are nearly as memorable as Napoleons liger drawing.

In addition to Heder, the event also brought together writer-director Jared Hess and co-stars Tina Majorino (Deb), Efren Ramirez (the eternally cool Pedro), Haylie Duff (Napoleons crush, Summer Wheatley), Shondrella Avery (Kips voluptuous girlfriend, LaFawnduh), Carmen Brady (Starla), Diedrich Bader (Rex), Sandy Martin (Grandma) and even fat lard Tina the Llama. However, Aaron Ruell (Kip) was not in attendance (as he was probably off somewhere working on his time machine); neither was Jon Uncle Rico Gries (who was probably attempting to throw a football over them mountains).

In the past decade, Hess offbeat tale of outsider friendship and small-town weirdness has remained a fan-favorite largely because of its endlessly quotable script.Rolling Stones Peter Travers gave the film a three-star review back in 2004: Hess and his terrific cast Heder is geek perfection make their own kind of deadpan hilarity, he wrote. Youll laugh till it hurts. Sweet.
