Glee Prepares for Life After Cory Monteith

Cory Monteiths character, Finn, will be written out of the third episode of Glees upcoming season following the actors sudden death from a drug and alcohol overdose.

That episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Corys passing and the drug abuse in particular, said Fox Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly at the Television Critics Association Press Tour today, according to ET Online.

Cory Monteiths Most Memorable Glee Performances

While Reilly did not say specifically that Finn would die of an overdose, he said that Glee creator Ryan Murphy and the cast will shoot a few PSAs that will address the audience directly on the matter. Whats more, the proceeds made from the music in that episode will be used to form a foundation to honor Monteith.

Murphy himself spoke recently about how the show will deal with the loss of one of its key characters. While there was talk of delaying shooting for the next season, Murphy said, Ultimately, we decided the best thing for everyone is to get back to work and be around people who knew him and loved him so that everyone can grieve together.

Still, the show, which returns September 26th with a special Beatles tribute, will take a hiatus so that producers can determine how they will proceed.Monteith was recently mourned by Glees cast and crew at a private ceremony where they shared stories and songs in celebration of the actors life.
