Ron Burgundys scheduled Thurs. appearance on @SportsCenter has been cancelled in light of the potential implications of any news from the State Attorneys press conference in Fla., ESPNs director of communications David Scott wrote on Twitter. Although Scott wrote yesterday that there was no make-up date for Burgundy, a SportsCenter anchor said this on the air morning that Ferrell would bring his character to the show sometime next week.

Ferrell was scheduled to appear on the show today alongside his Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues cohort, David Koechner, who plays the Channel 4 News teams sports reporter, Champ Kind.
